Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Noriu (noriu.app) and how we use it. We've tried to keep it straightforward and human-readable.

Information We Collect

Right now, we collect very little because we're in pre-launch:

  • Email addresses - When you join our waitlist, we store your email so we can let you know when Noriu launches.
  • Analytics data - We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our website (more on this below).

That's it for now. When we launch the full app, we'll update this policy to reflect any additional data we collect (like tasks you create).

How We Use Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with our website. This helps us improve Noriu and create a better experience for you.

What GA4 collects:

  • Pages you visit and how long you spend on them
  • Device information (browser type, screen size, operating system)
  • Approximate location (country/city level, not precise)
  • How you found us (search engine, social media, direct)

Cookies used by GA4:

  • _ga - Used to distinguish users (expires after 2 years)
  • _ga_* - Used to persist session state (expires after 2 years)

How We Store Your Data

Your email address is stored securely in Supabase, a trusted database platform with servers in the US and EU. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

Google Analytics data is stored on Google's servers according to their data retention policies. We've configured GA4 to retain data for 14 months.

How We Use Your Information

We use your email address to:

  • Send you launch updates and important product news
  • Occasionally share tips related to ADHD productivity (if you opt in)

We use analytics data to:

  • Understand which parts of our website are most helpful
  • Identify and fix problems
  • Improve the overall experience

We do not sell your data. Ever. We don't share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data - Ask us what information we have about you
  • Delete your data - Request that we remove your email from our waitlist
  • Opt out of emails - Unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time
  • Opt out of analytics - Use the methods described above to stop Google Analytics tracking

For European Users (GDPR)

If you're in the European Union, here's what you should know:

  • Lawful basis - We process your email based on your consent when you join the waitlist. We process analytics data based on our legitimate interest in improving our service.
  • Data controller - Noriu is the data controller for your personal information.
  • Right to complain - You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we've mishandled your data.
  • Data transfers - Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our service providers (Supabase, Google) have servers.

For California Users (CCPA)

If you're a California resident:

  • Right to know - You can request details about the personal information we've collected about you.
  • Right to delete - You can request that we delete your personal information.
  • Right to opt-out - We do not sell personal information, so there's nothing to opt out of here.
  • No discrimination - We won't treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.

Children's Privacy

Noriu is designed for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we'll remove it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy as Noriu grows. When we make significant changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, if you're on our email list, we'll let you know.

Continued use of Noriu after changes means you accept the updated policy.
